Claire Askew is the author of All The Hidden Truths (2018) and What You Pay For (2019), both published by Hodder & Stoughton. All The Hidden Truths won the 2016 Lucy Cavendish Fiction Prize as a work in progress, was a Times Crime Book of the Month, and was shortlisted for the CWA Gold Dagger, CWA John Creasey Dagger and McIlvanney Debut Prize, among others. Claire is also the author of This changes things (2016), a poetry collection published by Bloodaxe Books. She is currently working on the third novel in the DI Helen Birch series, and on a second poetry collection, Break & Closure. Both are due for publication in 2021.
