Synopsis
In Cold As The Grave, McLean stumbles upon the body of a young girl hidden away in an Old Town basement. It appears she’s been dead years, but post mortem examination corrects that to days and turns a cold case into a very hot – and strange – one. Refugees from war-ravaged Syria have been trafficked to the city, forced into all manner of unsavoury work. They instinctively don’t trust the authorities, convinced they will ship them back to certain death. And yet something even worse is stalking them, taking their children to ensure they keep in line, and leaving a trail of dead bodies in its wake.
